A Visit from Max Planck Institutes

On Friday, October 18, we welcomed nearly 40 students from two prestigious Max Planck Institutes in Stuttgart, Germany – the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research. During their visit, the students from the Max Planck Institutes took the opportunity to present their own research initiatives and the innovative work being conducted at their institutions. They shared insights into various projects, highlighting cutting-edge developments in areas such as machine learning, material science, or advanced robotics.

The day began with inspiring presentations from Tilman Becker, Director of RICAIP, and Josef Sivic, a renowned beneficiary of the ERC Advanced Grant. Their talks offered a glimpse into the cutting-edge research conducted at CTU and set the tone for an exciting deep dive into key topics shaping the future of technology.

After the opening speech of the CTU’s speakers, the student’s presentations also showcased their expertise while emphasizing the collaborative spirit of modern scientific research, highlighting how interdisciplinary approaches and international partnerships are essential for technological progress

Following the presentations, the students were guided on a tour of the RICAIP Testbed in Prague. This state-of-the-art facility embodies the principles of Industry 4.0, providing a practical environment for experimentation and development in areas such as advanced robotics and digital twins.

The visit concluded with a vibrant networking session, where students and researchers exchanged ideas and fostered connections. These discussions were not just about sharing knowledge; they were about exploring future collaborations that could transcend borders and lead to groundbreaking innovations.
